Treno e via, eccoci a
Firenze. From Venice straight to meet
Leonardo da Vinci. We did not find him, but we have found a beautiful city.
Ponte vecchio, our night spot before going to sleep. There was a man, in the middle of the bridge, singing italian and not italian songs. A lot of people just enjoying it, listening to him and singing. The background was composed by a pretty cool sunset, the
Palazzo degli Uffizi and the river
Arno. Amazing view from up here.
Florence is popular for its history, its importance in the Middle Ages and in the Renaissance, especially for its art and architecture. Leonardo da Vinci was one of the maximum exponent of this era. A centre of medieval European trade and finance, the city is often considered the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance. There is a small market right in the old city center, with a
bronze wild boar: it is said that touching its nose it brings luck.

Walk down to the
Duomo, then towards
Santa Maria Novella, the
Baptistry and the old
San Lorenzo church.
Palazzo Pitti just in front of our hostel,
Palazzo Vecchio in the old city center and back home through Ponte delle Grazie... A locker on the bridge to lock the moment...
