Back to the souther Italy, back to my
grandparents. 3 days of full immersion into the local traditions. Within this there is the amount of food eaten every day. I'm gordinho now...
Focaccia, spaghetti con le cozze, pasta al fume', cotolette fritte, salsiccia, torte. No way of avoid getting fat... It's normal down here.
40 degrees under the shadow with no chance to get out, to take any ice-cream.

The city of
Turenum (Trani) appears for the first time in the
Tabula Peutingeriana, a
13th century copy of an ancient Roman itinerary. The name, also spelled Tirenum, was that of the Greek hero Diomedes. Trani has an ancient respectable history, with his cathedral that leads the Ionic sea.
Trani has a fantastic harbour, old-style, with several
fishing boats, small and not, that bring to the citizien a lot of different delicious kind of fish. Trani and its neighbourhood, not only care about fishing, but it produces an excellent wine, Moscato di Trani, figs, olive oil, almonds and grain. Ergo, with these delicious products, you cannot avoid to have a nice supper before sleeping...
