As every year, here you are, here Paddy's Day. Lá ’le Pádraig, i.e. St. Patrick's Day in Irish. Saint Patrick (circa AD 385–461) is one of the patron saints of Ireland, and is generally celebrated on 17 March. 17 March, such a funny day. This is my second St. Paddy's day in the land of Celtic. People everywhere drunk, funny people, guys, girls, kids, grand-parents... all together to see the show, the parade that started from the Spire towards Dame street. Funny day, unfortunately I've an exam tomorrow and I couldn't drink so much. It was funny anyway. It doesn't matter... I'm heading off to Portugal... to learn portuguese.. :)
Eccoci di ritorno dal mio primo S. Patrick a Dublin. Qui c'e' l'originale, ma quello a cui ho partecipato a New York e' tutta un'altra cosa. La gente si riversa per strada, scortata dai GARDA, la polizia gaelica. Non puo' succedere nulla perche' questi omoni intervengono in tempo zero. Fotografie a go-go, con i nostri cappellazzi alti verdi, una birra di qua', un bayles di la'...e anche questa festa e' andata.
Mi ritrovo qui a schiacciare tasti di questa tastiera irlandese della apple, senza accenti, tutta strana...nei paraggi non c'e praticamente nessuno, sono ancora a casa questi irlandesi, a casa a fare il ponte, il lungo ponte. Secondo la tradizione irlandese, in Irlanda non ci sarebbero più serpenti da quando San Patrizio li cacciò in mare. Io onestamente non ne ho visti....grazie Patrizio.
Io mi vado a fare una cioccolata alla macchinetta, con un buon snickers doppio...continuo a codare in java e aspetto il prossimo S. Patrick Day...
